What You Will Learn

The session

Even if you have no experience of working with glass you will be able to join this workshop. You will learn how to cut glass, and go on to construct a wall clock ready for firing by using cut glass pieces, glass frit, glass rods and paint. Sizes will be approx. 20 x 10 cm or 15 x 15 cm. Choose your clock hand colour. Once the clock is fired, the mechanism will be fitted onto the clock. Price includes all materials and use of equipment.

The Studio

Tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day and a sandwich lunch will be provided. Please advise if there are any special dietary requirements or allergies. The Studio is bright and welcoming in a relaxing and peaceful setting so why not give glass fusing a go? It can be a brilliant way to switch off from the stresses of life as well as being a fabulous creative outlet. Who knows what you will be able to create? You may even surprise yourself!

Bespoke

I had a fantastic day learning to use a potters wheel. Jayne was great at teaching the correct techniques for proper throwing and I was so pleased with my results. A good way to forget about your worries and get to grips with an ancient craft. I look forward to my next class.
