These terms and conditions govern all use of the website situated at www.artandclay.co.uk and all courses and workshops and the purchase of goods via our online shop. By accessing our website or booking a course you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they be modified and posted on our website from time to time. Please ensure you read these terms and conditions carefully and retain them for your personal records.
WORKSHOPS AND COURSES
Payments
A non-returnable deposit of £50 per person, per course should accompany the completed booking form. Final payment of the balance of the course fee should be made no later than 5 weeks prior to the course commencement date. Where a course is being booked less than 5 weeks prior to the date of the course, the full course fee is payable with the booking. We do not send a reminder or an invoice so please make a note of the due date in your diary. Non payment of the final balance will not be assumed to imply cancellation. Failure to attend a course will incur cancellation charges as shown below.
Cancelling a Course
Cancellations must be made in writing (text, mail or email) to Art and Clay. Cancellations can be made up to 28 days prior to the course date, the deposit will be forfeit but the balance will be refunded provided this has been received by Art and Clay. Art and Clay will always confirm receipt of the cancellation. It is regretted that no refund can be made in respect of bookings cancelled less than 28 days prior to the commencement of a course and that the full course fee must be paid. In exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Art and Clay we may offer a credit that may be used as payment toward another class.
Cancellations by Us
We make every effort to offer the classes and workshops outlined. However we reserve the right to cancel a class or workshop if necessary. We will notify you as soon as is possible and given the opportunity to transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Art and Clay is liable only for monies you have paid to us at the time of cancellation. We will not be responsible for any advance costs you may have incurred e.g. travel of accommodation. if for reasons outside our control a tutor is unable to attend a particular course, we reserve the right to substitute a tutor of similar standing.
Different Ways to Pay
There is an option to either pay in full or to pay in 2 installments. A non-returnable deposit of £50 (inc VAT) per person, per course should accompany all bookings. GIFT VOUCHERS
Where the product being purchased is of a higher value than the gift voucher, you must pay the difference using one of the payment methods mentioned under Different Ways To Pay.
Where the product being purchased is of a lower price than the value of the Voucher and is an amount greater than £1 another voucher will be given but it will only be valid up to the original expiry date.
In the event that a gift voucher purchase is returned then the refund will made in vouchers. We do not accept liability for lost or stolen vouchers.
FORCE MAJEUR
Circumstances amounting to “Force Majeur” include any event which we of the supplier of the service in question could not, even if all due care , foresee or avoid such as war, or threat of war, civil strife, riot, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, sickness, bad weather and acts of any government or public authority and all similar events which are beyond our control.
General Course Provisions
The Studio is equipped with much of the equipment needed to deliver the courses. Please pay particular attention to the details of your chosen course. Some course require you to bring additional materials. if this is the case a detailed list from the artist tutoring will be sent to you alongside the booking confirmation.
Refreshments
All refreshments (tea, fruit tea, coffee, water and biscuits) are included and are available on all of our Courses. A light lunch is available for most ‘full day’ courses. Where lunch is included within the cost of the course, this will be made clear in the Course Outline description.
Meals and Special Dietary Requirements
Please let us know when booking if you have any special dietary requirements. We will ensure you are served a suitable meal.
Food Allergies
Art and Clay take food allergies very seriously but cannot guarantee that meals prepared in our kitchen will not be cross contaminated with known food allergens. Please keep in mind that we are not the experts on your allergies and so if you suffer with food allergies we recommend that you bring your own meal. If you do have allergies and still wish to use the catering services at Art and Clay, then do so at your own risk and we shall not be liable in respect of the allergenic content of the food served. Please contact us by phone or email if you require further information on the allergenic content of the food served.
Access and Additional Support Requirements
We welcome Students with limited mobility or those requiring additional support. Our Studio is accessible to wheel chair users however the toilet is an eco-friendly composting toilet and is not set up as a disabled toilet so the seat may be too low and there are no grab rails. Please call to discuss your specific needs.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover your course fee, travel and accommodation costs in the event that you cannot make the course. For example, illness, family bereavement or weather, or if the course is cancelled and you need to cancel accommodation.
Practicalities and Parking
Art and Clay have a no-smoking / vaping policy on the premises. There is an area outside of the main gate where you are permitted to smoke/vape.
There is limited parking for attendees at the premises (5 cars), there is also street parking available at the top of the drive outside of the burial ground and in the unlikely event that all these spaces have been taken there is plenty of parking available at the Swanton Morley Village Hall on Manns Lane, a 5-10 minute walk away.
Data Protection / Intellectual Property
All rights and interest in any copyright that is created in any works by you whilst on a course will vest in you upon creation but you hereby grant licence of such copyright and the right to use such works and further your name and image in any photograph taken by us or on behalf of the business or supplied by you to us for advertising purposes including without limitations on our website and in our brochures.
The content of our Website are protected by international copyright laws and other intellectual property rights. We are the owner or the duly authorised licensee of such copyright and all intellectual property rights in the mark ‘‘Art and Clay”. You may not modify, copy, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute by any means or in any manner or information on or downloaded from our Website without our permission.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure that this website is normally available 24hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason this website is unavailable at any time or for any period. Access to this website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair for reasons beyond our control.
